Emma (Jielei) Zhu graduated from New York University in May 2016 with a B.A. in Computer Science and Psychology and a minor in Mathematics. In school, Emma was able to explore her interests to the fullest by taking classes in Statistics, Psychology, Neuroscience, Algorithms, Machine Learning, Philosophy and Game Design. In the end, she found the combination of human behavior, statistical inference and Machine Learning algorithms interested her the most. Hence, the double major in Computer Science and Psychology and the minor in Math. Emma is a savvy programmer with proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, Java and C. Using these languages, she has done projects on human perception, data visualizations, sentiment analysis, and star rating predictions. In her spare time, you could find Emma running, playing board games, and cracking jokes with friends.
