Chuan is interested in uncovering the relationship of things. He likes to seek order from chaos. Previously, he worked on a unannounced project in Amazon Seattle as a software engineer. The project is related to machine learning and computer vision. Before that, he received Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Central Florida. His research topics involves classifying complex human actions from video data by devising new algorithms in feature learning, dimensionality reduction, and hyperparameter learning via tensor approximation. Some of his past works beat state-of-the-art results in action classification and recognition. In hoping of disclosing truth from fallacies, Chuan strongly believes that beauty of truth hides deep in sea of data, but not everyone can see it. He is thus especially excited in deepening his skill in bringing new from unknown as a data scientist, with minds, not just tools.
