Compelling Data in Finance......

Contributed by Joel Palathinkal. Joel took P002 class with John (Python Beginner Level) in May - Jun, 2014. Tho post was based on the useful materials that he was interested in.

Enterprises lead the need, but what empowers data to come to do larger things is Discovery.

While taking this course, I have been trying to come up with something that extends beyond just taking a set of data and plotting it. I am one class away from completing this course, and then I have 3 weeks to present something that is inspiring.  I am interested in Fintech, but also want to make the data and visualization compelling from what I uncover.

I am reaching out to a couple news sites and Finance data feeds to see if I can take a sample of the data, and create a simulation to hopefully be able to show sentiment analysis, prediction, and visualization.

Decision trees and deep learning networks are spoken about in this video,

which I thought was pretty cool!   Stay tuned to see what I come up with!
