Introduction to E-Commerce
E-commerce is the activity of electronically buying or selling of products on online services or over the Internet. It makes people’s life more convenient and helps companies sell their product more efficiently. Some leading companies, like Amazon and Taobao make a great profit from their customers through online shopping, based on data.
Many others have added eCommerce features to their retail business. Over the past several years, many companies have made their goods and services available directly to the consumer online. In 2020 that trend took off due to the lockdowns and concerns for safety that kept people out of physical stores for months. The millions of shoppers who visit online stores every day don’t just mean immediate business but the potential for business growth built on their data.
Data analysis can detect the users’ active pattern, identify valuable customers, bring to light why some users fail to complete a purchase, and so on to help companies sell more. In this project, I am going to analyze the user behavior’s data from a medium-sized cosmetic online store and give suggestions.
