Course Overview
Level 1
In Level 1, students will learn basic vocabulary, expressions and English language structure to communicate effectively. This course aligns with the Common European Framework Reference Scale A1, which means that students can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and interact in a simple way. No previous knowledge of English is required, but prior experience will be built upon.
Level 2
In Level 2, students will strengthen their skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. They will build on their basic vocabulary and grammar knowledge to communicate in simple and routine tasks, such as sharing personal information, shopping, and discussing employment. Students will also develop their understanding of American culture as it relates to the English language. This course aligns with the Common European Framework Reference Scale A2, which means that students will be able to communicate about their background, environment, and areas of immediate need using simple and direct language. The prerequisite for this course is completing level 1, testing into Level 2, or passing the CEFR Level Test (A1).
Level 3
In Level 3, students will learn to respond naturally and authentically to various topics, events, activities, and personal experiences. They will practice stress and intonation and learn to express opinions clearly. The course is aligned with the Common European Framework Reference Scale B1, Independent User. At this level, students can understand standard input on familiar matters, deal with most situations while traveling, produce simple connected text on familiar or personal interest topics, and describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes, ambitions, and give brief reasons and explanations for opinions and plans. The prerequisite for this course is completing level 2, testing into Level 3, or passing the CEFR Level Test (A2).
Level 4
In Level 4, we focuses on improving students’ fluency and accuracy in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, as well as their understanding of English grammar and pronunciation. It is aligned with the Common European Framework Reference Scale B2, Independent User, which means students will be able to understand complex texts, interact fluently with native speakers, and produce clear, detailed writing on a wide range of subjects. The prerequisite for this course is completing level 3, testing into Level 4, or passing the CEFR Level Test (B1).
Level 5
Level 5 course is designed for advanced students focusing on more sophisticated cultural analysis and expression. The course aligns with the Common European Framework Reference Scale C1, Proficient User, and aims to develop students’ ability to understand demanding texts, express themselves fluently and flexibly for social, academic, and professional purposes, and produce clear and detailed texts on complex subjects. Prerequisites for the course include a placement test, advanced course level, and CEFR Level Test (B2).

There are no prerequisites for this course.
Certificate
Certificates are awarded at the end of the program at the satisfactory completion of the course. Students are evaluated on a pass/fail basis for their performance on the required homework and final project (where applicable). Students who complete 80% of the homework and attend a minimum of 85% of all classes are eligible for the certificate of completion.
