Ben Townson graduates from the New York City Data Science Academy 12-week Data Science Bootcamp on September 23. At NYC Data Science Academy he has mastered machine learning and data analysis techniques, complementing more than ten years spent in the finance industry as a quantitative trader and risk manager working for hedge funds focused on high volume and high frequency trading of commodity futures, options, and equities. His project experience at NYC Data Science Academy includes: an analysis of natural gas production, consumption and pricing; a study of bitcoin markets and currency adoption; prediction of PGA tour success; and building a prediction model for horse racing and betting. Ben is a graduate of Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, where he studied mathematics.
