Danli Zeng has five years experience in marketing and media. She was specialized in integrated media planning and return on marketing investment analysis for the fast-moving consumer goods industry. She witnessed the data revolution that moved the marketing industry into a new era from numerous angles within the field. This motivated her to get her M.S in Marketing Analytics from NYU, and pursue a career as a Data Scientist. During her time at NYCDSA, she did 5 interesting projects including building an interactive Shiny app that visualizes Global Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, and scraping and visualizing artists information from an art encyclopedia website to demonstrate the art history from a new perspective. For her final project, she used data from Yelp and Natural Language Processing skills to create topic models, aiming to help small restaurant owners improving their business.
