Grid: THE FUTURE OF SMART GRID TECHNOLOGIES
The skills I demoed here can be learned through taking Data Science with Machine Learning bootcamp with NYC Data Science Academy.
We are aware about the traditional electricity distribution system. But even after decades you can see only a few changes happening in electricity distribution. One of the main reasons for it is inefficiency and unreliability. But with the smart grid technology, we are entering into a new era of electricity distribution. Through this technology, the gas house emission of gases is reduced to a million metric of tons. At the same time, it won't compromise reliability. Investors already get up in the queue to get the deals.
Before getting into the details, let's start with the basics of Smart Grid Solutions.
Smart Grid Technologies
This is a modern technique for power generation and distribution. It is meant to address the increase in electric consumption and need. It can be used in both renewable and non-renewable energy sources. By using this method, the consumer will get real time information about the energy consumption. Using this method, the consumer can modify the energy use=age if they want to reduce the bill.
That is, now in our area, we usually get electricity bill by calculating the consumed units. We will get it by the last of the month. But by this method, we will get the real time electricity bills. It will also include a separate bill for each appliance. So by doing a deep study on the bills, we can change our habits to reduce the electricity bills.
The Current Market Scenario
In developed countries, a huge emergence is visible in it. As it is really costly many countries canโt afford the expense.
In the United States a great expansion is visible in this area. People are showing more positive responses towards it, since it is really helpful for all.
The benefits of smarter grids
- Efficient energy transfer
- It is easier to integrate clean energy
The future
The department of energy consumption of all countries already started research on this area to get better usage of energy. In the US, they are spending millions of dollars.
investing in smart grid devices is one of the first steps in moving toward a digital distribution grid. Real-time, optimized control of devices that can provide information for VVO and CVR initiatives allow the system to rapidly address power quality issues.
