NYC Parking Tickets Visualization
The aim of this project is to analyze and visualize New York City's parking tickets data. Data source is from NYC Open Source Data. Β There are more than 10 million vehicle parking violation tickets issued every year in New York City. (Estimated $765 million has been charged for parking violation in 2016, before the late fees and excluding towing charges.)
Using RStudio and Shiny App, the application is to display summary data provided by New York City government. Various items, such as parking violation code, borough, police precinct data are summarized in bar graph form. Police precinct heat map shows which precincts has been ticketed the most. Please visit the app here, and the original source code in Github here.
